An effervescent Lionel Richie walked in and said “I’m so excited, I’m so excited… you have no idea how excited I am to be here!”
Here’s are highlights from the festivities:
Guitar Hero II
Andy Sommers from The Police demo’d “Message in a Bottle” on the Guitar Hero II Guitar. He said that the song sounded “incredible.”
Rascal Flatts stopped by and LOVED the game.
Members of the Pussycat Dolls loved the guitar.
The Prem Rawat Foundation
All of the talent who came through the lounge were really impressed with the mission of The Prem Rawat Foundation. Ciara was really interested in the foundation’s work and autographed a tee shirt along with a personal message of peace. The shirt will be auctioned off to benefit the foundation. “When you have peace within yourself, everything else falls in place” . . . love, Ciara
BeansTalk note: The foundation had fantastic shirts and a great hat that said PEACE NOW. Loved it.
James Blunt picked out the “Julian” in both black and pewter for a special someone he is taking to the GRAMMYs…. Don’t know who she is, but “Cinderella” is a size 6.
Although Mary J. Blige was in a hurry, she still had some time to stop and pick up a pair of “gold” (her favorite color) Chinese Laundry Shoes
Jennifer Love Hewitt confessed that Chinese Laundry Shoes are her favorite and picked up the “Julian” and the Dagger.
Smokey Robinson is a man in love with his wife, Frances. While picking out a pair of shoes for her, the staff at CL told him that he would be getting a gold star… and he said that he already got one from her every day. Awww.
Ciara thought the brass shoe was “fly.”
Chris Brown came through with his mother and made sure she picked out a pair that would go well with her GRAMMY dress.
Solstice Sunglass Boutique
Corinne Bailey Rae needed to find “some glasses to hide behind” so she chose the Kate Spade oversized ivory colored sunglass and a retro looking Marc Jacobs Black Sunglass.
Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussy Cat Dolls said “I want glasses that say ‘I’m a diva and I’m famous.’” Her new $614 pair of Boucheron Rimless Shields (one of the most expensive pairs at Solstice Sunglass Boutique) says that and more!
Natalie Cole came by the booth and admitted that she was a “sunglass freak.”
Burt Bacharach was certain to pick up a bag of product for his wife, and Ciara’s makeup artist picked up a bag and said she was the product tester for Ciara and if it worked she would use it on her…
Jennifer Love Hewitt took 4 TNS Lip Plumps. . . she loves it!
Guiliana DePandi tried it on and loved it… said she was getting plumped up for her wedding to The Apprentice’s Bill Rancic.
Creative Nail Design, Inc.
Ciara wears Creative Nail Design enhancement coatings and loves them. She picked out 8 polish colors PLUS, Creative Nail Design went to her hotel and gave her a custom blended manicure to perfect her GRAMMY red carpet look.
Natalie Cole picked a dozen colors and said it was like candy. She also picked up a Stephanie Johnson bag of 50 nail colors.
Jennifer Love Hewitt picked up Cuppa Joe, which is a dark metallic brown polish, as her favorite color.

Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers picked up some polish for his wife and even took home a hand treatment kit for himself
Hair Dr. Spela
All of the artists swooned over the great design and lightness of the dryers, and all wanted to take home the special Swarovski edition dryer that was on display. Wyclef Jean ordered 2 Swarovski crystal dryers and Natalie Cole and Jennifer Love Hewitt asked for personalized ones as well.
Ciara thought that the crystal buttons on each jacket were so cool and Kate Flannery of The Office (who stopped by on Thursday) said “all the girls back at The Office are going to be jealous. They are all going to want one.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt not only chose a joluka jacket for herself, but also chose one to take back to Camryn Manheim on the set of The Ghost Whisperer.
Robert Randolph thinks the jackets are so cool that he ordered a custom one for when he tours.
Natalie Cole and Reba McIntyre loved the jackets as well and had fun picking out their jacket from the various styles offered.
Mary J. Blige not only walked away with a Lorenzo pendant in Blue Topaz… but she also got the earrings to match!
Jennifer Love Hewitt told us that her birth stone is an Amethyst…so she immediately loved the pendant.
All of the male artists were thrilled to have Valentine’s gifts to give to their significant others later this week!
Nespresso USA, Inc.
Lionel Richie was overheard saying to Smokey Robinson “Smokey, you have to see this, it’s coffee in a capsule!” He went on to say “You’re gonna give me a coffee machine? BLESS YOU!” and John Legend? Well he just said “I want to get my espresso machine.”
Ciara already had the goods on Nespresso since she already owns one!
Wyclef said “This machine is HOT!”
Guiliana DePandi admitted that she and Bill could take the machine off of their registry now that they have it!
Ciara and Rihanna both picked out the Isadora Deluxe bag in khaki and Rihanna said she not only loved the color, but it was really beautiful as well.

Jennifer Love Hewitt was really excited to try it after hearing about it for years.
Carrie Underwood sent her makeup artist to the Lounge to pick up some more for her. She has been wearing it for 3 years.
Chris Brown was way excited to pick up his painting. He carried it with him all night.
The Dixie Chicks weren’t going to come in the Gift Lounge because of time constraints… but made sure to stop by and pick up their painting of “Not Ready to Make Nice.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt was ecstatic when she received Osiris Shoes that had hearts on them (probably because her name is “Love”).
Natalie Cole fed her shoe fetish with a pair of Osiris Slip On’s.
All of the artists loved stopping by Gibson for their guitars and to jam a bit. Wyclef Jean did some freestyle rapping, Stewart Copeland jumped behind the drum kit and jammed in the Lounge, Natalie Cole sang “Imagine” and Chad Smith from The Red Hot Chili Peppers played the drums… and ended the song by kicking over the drum set.
